International Sports Security Conference Ultra Electronics APL were recently invited to present to conference and exhibit at the first International Sports Security Summit held at the QE2 conference centre London. The event is the most comprehensive and authoritative ever staged for sporting professionals responsible for major event security. Its objective was to provide an intensive knowledge-sharing forum with experts from sports federations, police, intelligence services, government departments and global security services sector.
APL presented under the heading 'Testing & Implementing Security Strategies'. The presentation took the form of a simulated 'table top' exercise using Atlas OPS. APL were assisted by Ian James representing Rushmans Ltd, who facilitated the exercise scenario. During the presentation Atlas OPS was used to demonstrate responses to a security incident, managing resources and maintaining a full message and event audit log. The conference was a great success for APL who are currently looking at several major projects in the world of sport and event management. |
