FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Royal Wedding Atlas OPS used for Police control of Royal Wedding. April 2005 UK: Atlas OPS was used successfully by Thames Valley Police for the planning and control of the Police/Security operation for the Royal Wedding of HRH Price Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.
Atlas OPS was used in the Police Silver Control (Windsor) for the control of resources and recording of all events, policy decisions and actions. This information was shared via a network to the main Police Gold Control room (Oxford). Police Gold control had an instant view of all movements and decisions made some 80 miles away. The use of Atlas OPS for this event was hailed a great success by both Police Commanders and system operators |
