FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Royal International Air Tattoo 2006 Nineth successful year for Atlas OPS controlling the worlds premier military airshow - get ready for 2007!
July 2006 : Atlas OPS was again used to control and coordinate the multi-agency emergency response for the worlds largest military air show at RAF Fairford in July. A huge crowd of over 160,000 visitors attended the show over the two public days and enjoyed perfect weather to view the event. Atlas OPS was used throughout the ECC (Emergency Control Centre) and allowed all key agencies to monitor resources, actions, and incidents - networked agencies included Police, Fire, Ambulance, Security Cell, Media, Event Control, Tactical Advisors, RAF Police.
The provision of Atlas OPS is seen as the key to an 'integrated and command and control' solution to oversee the coordinated management of this event.
Now in its 9th year in the control room the systems capabilities have expanded far more than just the response to a major incident, and now include the control of day-to-day medical and security issues that happen as a matter of course during an event like this.
The system also acts as the core messaging system between the different control centres, with full audit logging and tracking of all messages and actions. |
