FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Atlas OPS to provide security for key Canadian Port Atlas OPS success with Canadian Partner
May 2007 : Ultra Electronics APL are pleased to announce their involvement in a contract awarded by the Halifax Port Authority (Nova Scotia) to provide Atlas OPS as part of a fully integrated Command and Control System The contract valued at over $8 million will provide a state of the art facility which sees Atlas OPS delivering its market leading crisis management and emergency planning functionality The project will be coordinated and delivered by APL’s strategic business partner Ultra Electronics (Maritime Systems Division) and will provide a suite of integrated solutions including:
The solution will provide an appropriate level of information to the various agencies who would be involved in any coordinated multi-agency response, including the port police, port operations staff, first responders, harbour pilots and other approved agencies Atlas OPS will allow the creation of sophisticated emergency plans & procedures that can be accessed during any live incident. The command and control functionality within Atlas will also provide a detailed overview to senior staff of the incident scene, resource locations and all responses whilst maintaining a full audit log of the event.
