Crisis ManagementA Crisis is any incident requiring the implementation of special arrangements by one or more emergency service. This may involve large numbers of casualties or effect large numbers of people directly or indirectly. It may also involve the mobilisation of emergency services and support agencies catering for death, injury or displacement of large numbers of people. Organisations will call on integrated crisis and emergency plans prepared on Atlas OPS. These may be used as the basis to manage and co-ordinate an integrated response to any situation. Current information can be fed into the system, which may alter the pre-determined response. This may then be disseminated to briefing rooms or command centres in order to assist with the decision making process. All actions and responses can be appended to an event log for post incident analysis and investigation.
Overlay of crisis information Information is can be passed between different organisations and control centres to provide an accurate situation report and overview of the incident. |
